Lewis Hammond is a young emerging artist based in London. In his multilayered, surreal paintings, which have been compared to the works of the German painter Neo Rauch, he constructs imagined spaces which seem to encapsulate the chaotic world we live in and the fractured nature of human existence.

Hammond graduated from Sir John Cass School of Art in London in 2012 and won the Owen Rowley Art Prize. He was shortlisted for the prestigious Marmite Prize in 2013.
