Welcome to Saatchi Online: A Message From Bruce Livingstone

To all Artists and Art Lovers:

We banded together a dream team of caffeine-fueled developers, creative conceptualists, an international network of talented programmers, emerging and established creators, and self-professed “artoholics” to generate this new frontier.

Welcome to the new republic of artists, art lovers, and collectors of beauty in all forms. We built this space for you to explore, refine and enrich. It is a free and open landscape to foster talent, support the process, share ideas and influences and exhibit the result of artistic self-expression.

Please let us know what you think of the site.  Love it? Hate it? Can’t figure something out? Send us your feedback to the email addresses below:

  36. do changes in showdown mean I can no longer post works and receive a rated reaction from anonymous viewers? I really enjoyed that and found it useful. Also, I don’t see a way to direct people to my entry, which was a good feature. The new rules seem to encourage the competitive to enter only their best work repeatedly without getting any quantifiable feedback. Please expound.

I would like to leave my comment as an hommage to all the online artists I met through the online studio on the previous saatchi site.
It was fun while it lasted.
Melia, Pedro, Moti, john, esther, milosan, and many more. Thank you, you produced very fine, cheap and very contemporary art.

Where has all our art gone to ?
Why do I have to grant saatchi ” a non-exclusive, worldwide, perpetual, royalty-free, fully paid-up license to use, reproduce, create derivative works”
Is it something to do with money?

Besides that, a very white site.

  47. Just saw this page and wanted to say that it’s a great site! There is so much talent on here that I could spend hours just looking at all the fabulous work. I’m a little lost at the moment bc it is pretty large from what I became used to, but once I spend some more time here I’ll get used to it. Thanks for providing it! :D

  55. This site looks like it will be much better than its predecessor http://www.saatchi-gallery.co.uk. At least here you do not afford abusive abusers the anonymity that you granted them in the magazine/blog, forums and chat room of the old site that eventually you had to close down entirely because of the abuse, the libel and defamation, the death threats etc. I wish you every success with this reincarnation.

  62. I like the new site. I am an artist grad of SCAD in USA, Georgia. I now produce a TV show about being a performance artist. I work on-stage painting and creating with musicians and have developed a 29 min weekly show about it. Is there some way I could share it with the SO community?

  67. Challenging new comments with a controversial explosive piece of art/ October to January…..- there should be no space- left for profound artistic experience….: we require one line in artistic genius: whether it be music,
painters, sculptors, photographers, etc. ( if we cannot visually, literally or musically take you down to one phrase of happiness , sadness, or power:
we are not to be: The Future.} To feel a hollow panic in the absence of our
presence as artists…….: is an honored recognition of our talents.

    Always think again.
